MSI 2025 Finals MVP GEN.G 'Chovy' "Next goal is Worlds victory"
Gen.G Esports' mid-laner 'Chovy' was honored as the Finals MVP at the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) finals after defeating T1 to claim the championship. 'Chovy' shared his thoughts on winning, his joy at receiving the MVP award, and his goals for the future.

'Chovy' expressed his honest feelings about winning, saying, "There was pressure and stress to win again." However, he explained that "the game itself was enjoyable, so I wanted to do well today more than feeling pressured," and that this positive mindset helped relieve the pressure. He added, "I'm glad I could prove myself as the Finals MVP," expressing his satisfaction.
When asked if winning MSI is difficult, and winning twice in a row is even harder, 'Chovy' attributed the success to the entire team, saying, "Although there is personal effort, I achieved good results because of the players, coaches, staff, and officials who work together." He revealed his professional ethic of constantly striving to improve, saying, "My driving force is not being satisfied as a pro and looking to the next step."
What is 'Chovy's next goal? He stated firmly, "There's EWC (Esports World Cup) and the regular league, but my biggest goal is to win Worlds." He expressed a strong desire to reach the pinnacle of international competition.
Finally, 'Chovy' conveyed his feelings to the fans who supported him, saying, "Thank you to the fans who continued to believe in me. I'm glad I was able to repay that faith with today's performance." He concluded the interview by promising, "I will continue to work hard to achieve good results without giving up."
