Gen.G Esports bot duo 'Ruler' and 'Duro' share their thoughts on the victory

In the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) finals, Gen.G Esports' support player 'Duro' and AD carry 'Ruler' defeated T1 to claim victory. In a post-match interview, they shared their emotional thoughts, personal growth stories, and messages to their fans. They touched the hearts of fans by discussing not only the team's victory but also their individual achievements and gratitude.

Gen.G's support player 'Duro' responded to a question about his Pyke pick in the finals by saying, "There weren't many other viable options besides Pyke." He explained the background of his bold choice, saying, "Rather than picking a mediocre champion and getting destroyed by the Caitlyn-Karma composition, I chose Pyke to aim for a clutch play."

When asked about his growth, 'Duro' showed humility. He said, "Gen.G saw potential in me and brought me here. It wasn't so much my growth as it was the help of my teammates and coaches. I want to thank them." When asked what kind of support player he wants to be remembered as, he mentioned 'MadLife', saying, "He was so incredibly famous that he marked a milestone as a support player. I want to become a player who builds as much skill and fame as 'MadLife'."

In a message to the fans, 'Duro' expressed his honest feelings, saying, "From the LCK cup until now, we've shown a lot of bad performances and had a lot of ups and downs." He continued, "It was thanks to your support, and the support and care from Gen.G officials, coaches, and players were so great that we made it this far. We'll continue this momentum until Worlds," expressing his gratitude and setting his next goal.

Gen.G's AD carry 'Ruler', when asked if he gained confidence from being the first player to win MSI in two different teams and regions, said, "I'm still lacking, but I can say that I played well in this MSI," expressing his satisfaction with his performance in the tournament.

He couldn't hide his joy about the victory, saying, "I'm so happy. I'm aiming to keep winning tournaments like this, and I'm so happy that I can prove myself like this."

'Ruler' also expressed deep gratitude to the fans. He said, "I wouldn't be here without the help of many fans. I'm grateful for everything, starting with your support." He concluded the interview by asking for the fans' continued support, saying, "I'll continue to work hard and show you good performances, so please continue to support me."
