T1 signs 3-year sponsorship deal with Saudi Red Sea Global

T1 announced that it has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with Saudi Arabia's luxury tourism developer, Red Sea Global (RSG).

 

 

The agreement was signed at the ‘Esports World Cup 2025 (EWC 2025)’ held in Riyadh, marking the world's first large-scale agreement between a tourism developer and a global esports team. This sponsorship was arranged by CAA, T1's exclusive commercial agency.

 

T1 is an esports team representing South Korea, with a track record of winning various domestic and international competitions, especially winning the inaugural League of Legends division at the Esports World Cup held in Riyadh in 2024. In addition to the League of Legends team led by 'Faker' Lee Sang-hyeok, T1 is also active in various other games such as Valorant, EA SPORTS FC Online, Overwatch 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and Tekken 8.

 

Raed Albasseet, Group Chief Environment and Sustainability Officer at Red Sea Global, said, “Esports is a rapidly growing industry with hundreds of millions of fans worldwide. Saudi Arabia is also actively participating in this trend, and this partnership will serve as an opportunity to enter new markets and further strengthen communication with existing fans. We also hope to create strategic synergy by linking with T1's brand values that aim for innovation and excellence.”

 

According to market research firms, the number of esports viewers worldwide is expected to reach approximately 604.08 million in 2025, with 318.1 million highly loyal core fans and 322.7 million occasional viewers. Through this sponsorship, the RSG logo will be attached to the front of the official T1 uniform, and T1's YouTube channel (approximately 1.56 million subscribers as of July 2025) will participate as the presenting sponsor of major content. This agreement is expected to contribute to strengthening Saudi Arabia's status as a global hub for sports, entertainment, and innovation industries.

 

T1's COO, Ahn Woong-ki, said, “Just as T1 is constantly striving to strengthen its global competitiveness, RSG is setting global standards in the luxury lifestyle and regenerative tourism sectors. Both companies share common values of ‘excellence’, ‘precision’, and ‘performance’, and will focus on providing a higher level of experience to fans around the world.”
