Sparks are an important element in training, influencing stat bonuses, track, distance, and style when selecting Legacy (parent) Uma Musume. Sparks are divided into four colors: blue, pink, green, and white.

Blue Sparks are the most important Sparks, determining which stats can be inherited when used as a Legacy. At the end of training, one of the stats (Speed, Stamina, Power, Guts, Intelligence) is randomly selected and converted into a blue Spark. Sparks have 1-3 star ratings, with 3-star Sparks being the most powerful. The higher the stat value, the higher the chance of obtaining a 3-star Spark (e.g., 10% chance with Speed 1100 or higher). 1-star, 2-star, and 3-star Sparks inherit +5, +12, and +21 stats, respectively. 9-star Uma Musume provide high stat bonuses. Blue Sparks are inherited through inspiration at the start of training and in the Classic/Senior years.

Pink Sparks are Sparks that enhance track, distance, and style aptitudes. They are randomly determined at the end of training, but only the Uma Musume's preferred aptitudes are selected (e.g., if the grass aptitude is G, a grass Spark will not be generated). The star rating of pink Sparks is completely random, and 3-star Sparks increase the inheritance probability during inspiration events. Legacies inherit pink Sparks at the start of training and can also acquire them during inspiration events.

Green Sparks are Sparks that inherit the Legacy Uma Musume's unique skill (Ultimate). Only 3-star Legacy Uma Musume can inherit Ultimate skills through green Sparks. Green Sparks from Legacies are inherited at the start of training, and there is another chance to acquire them during inspiration events. Acquiring them during inspiration events grants skill hints and discounts. Sub-Legacies can also inherit green Sparks during inspiration events.

There are two types of white Sparks: Skill Sparks and Race Sparks. Skill Sparks are randomly acquired at the end of training, and acquiring them during inspiration events provides skill discounts. The probability of Spark generation increases when acquiring skills, especially for skills with good compatibility or gold skills. Race Sparks can be acquired by winning G1 races and the URA Finals. Race Sparks provide skill hints + stat boosts or two stat boosts. You can obtain different Sparks depending on the URA Final scenario. Race Sparks have a 20% chance of being generated at the end of training.
