2. 🎮 Lowest Tier: Intel Arc B570
- ✅ The Intel Arc B570 is the cheapest GPU on the market right now.
- ⚠️ It has 10GB of VRAM, but it doesn't have enough horsepower to take advantage of it.
- ❌ The Arc B580 and RTX 5060 cost a little bit more and offer a significant performance uplift, making the B570 hard to recommend.
01:26 - 02:13
3. 🎮 Low Tier: RTX 5050
- ✅ The RTX 5050 retails for $249 and can consistently be found for the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP).
- ⚠️ It is slower than the RTX 5060 and only has 8GB of GDDR6 video memory.
- ✅ The RTX 5050 outperforms the B570 across the board.
02:14 - 03:03
4. 🎮 Tier C: Intel Arc B580
- ✅ The Arc B580 is better than the 5050.
- ✅ At launch, the B580 outperformed the 460 and RX 7600 and has 12GB of VRAM.
- ❌ The direct rasterization performance is outperformed by the RTX 5060 and RX 9060 XT, which cost a little bit more.
03:04 - 04:06
5. 🎮 Tier C: RTX 5060 (8GB)
- ⚠️ The RTX 5060 is better than the B580, but it still has some issues.
- ❌ Both the RTX 5060 and RX 9060 XT 8GB do not have enough VRAM for the card's horsepower.
- ✅ VRAM is more important in newer titles like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Hogwarts Legacy, and Alan Wake.
04:07 - 05:00
6. 🎮 Tier A: RX 9060 XT (16GB)
- ✅ The RX 9060 XT 16GB is very well-priced.
- ✅ The manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRP) are fairly attainable.
- ✅ The gaming performance is fantastic.
- ✅ It is the cheapest card that is easy to recommend.
05:01 - 05:23
7. 🎮 Lowest Tier: RTX 5060 Ti (8GB)
- ❌ The RTX 5060 Ti 8GB has a powerful chip, but it is expensive, and the VRAM is pathetic.
05:24 - 05:59
8. 🎮 Tier C: RTX 5060 Ti (16GB)
- ❌ The biggest problem with the RTX 5060 Ti is the cost.
- ❌ It doesn't make a lot of sense at its current price.
06:00 - 07:26
9. 🎮 Tier B: RTX 5070 vs. RX 9070
- ✅ The RTX 5070 is not as good as the RX 9060 XT 16GB in balance, but it's not that bad.
- ✅ The 12GB of VRAM on this card is sufficient.
- ✅ The RTX 5070 has good performance.
- ✅ The RTX 5070 costs $549, while the RX 9070 costs $599.
- ✅ Nvidia wins in ray tracing and DLSS versus FSR.
07:27 - 07:53
10. 🎮 Tier C: RX 9070
- ❌ The RX 9070 has a good overall GPU design.
- ❌ It doesn't seem like AMD has been all that truthful with their manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRP) or done much to try to enforce them at retail stores.
07:54 - 08:21
11. 🎮 Tier C: RX 9070 XT
- ✅ The RX 9070 XT is a little bit better than the RX 9070.
- ❌ The RX 9070 XT is overpriced.
- ❌ The RX 9070 XT has a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $599 and sells for almost $700, making it hard to recommend.
08:22 - 09:07
12. 🎮 Tier C/B: RTX 5070 Ti
- ❌ The RTX 5070 Ti is expensive, $789.
- ✅ The RTX 5070 Ti fixes a lot of the problems that Nvidia GPUs have in terms of VRAM and has 16GB.
- ✅ The DLSS ray tracing on this is really good.
- ❌ Rasterization is now slower than the RX 9070 XT given some of its recent driver updates in many titles.
09:08 - 09:37
13. 🎮 Tier A: RTX 5080
- ✅ The RTX 5080 is a little bit better in terms of price.
- ✅ AMD doesn't have anything that competes with it.
- ❌ It's expensive for what it is.
- ❌ It doesn't have enough video memory.
- ✅ It's a good product.
09:38 - 09:56
14. 🎮 Tier S: RTX 5090
- ✅ The RTX 5090 goes straight to the top.
- ❌ The RTX 5090 is extortionate.
- ✅ If you have a big budget to spend, it's the best.
- ✅ AMD doesn't have anything that even remotely comes close.
- ✅ The RTX 5090 in some cases will get 50-70% more FPS than AMD's current high-end offering in the RX 9070 XT.
09:57 - 10:41
15. 🎮 Final Adjustments to the Tier List
- ✅ The host is happy with their low and C tiers.
- ⚠️ The only cards that they would maybe move up are the B580 if you want 1440p gaming.
- ⚠️ The RX 9060 8GB being B maybe feels a little generous.
- ✅ We could potentially move the RX 9070 XT up to an A tier.
10:42 - 11:28
16. 🎮 Where Would NVIDIA's Upcoming SUPER Cards Rank?
- ✅ Super seems to be more about video memory than anything else.
- ✅ The RTX 5070 Super, if it went up to 16GB, would be a rival for at least the high end of the A tier, if not potentially approaching the RTX 5090 type of territory.
- ⚠️ There's not a lot to be gained from the RTX 5080 Super.
- ⚠️ Unless the performance really massively increases, I don't think the VRAM is a big problem right now for a lot of people.
- ⚠️ The RTX 5070 Ti Super, I don't think 16GB of VRAM is the main problem.
- ✅ The VRAM advantage of Super comes more with the RTX 5070 and RTX 5080 Super than with the 70 Ti.
11:29 - 12:10
17. 🎮 Desired Changes in the GPU Market
- ✅ He would like to see the price of the RX 9070 XT drop.
- ✅ If you could buy the RX 9070 XT for the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP), it would be right there for me.
- ✅ AMD has done an amazing job with that particular skew.
- ✅ Even the RX 9070 as MSRP is trading blows with the RTX 5070 and is arguably a better buy than both it and the RX 9060 XT 16GB.
