This video shows you how to find all 20 Mask Shards needed to double Hornet's max HP in Hollow Knight: Silksong. It provides information on each shard's location, acquisition conditions, required abilities, and difficulty to obtain.

2. 🗺️ Early Mask Shard Locations: Bonebottom, The Wermway, Deep Docks
- ✅ Bonebottom: Can be purchased from Phep in Bonebottom for 300 Rosaries.
- ✅ The Wermway: After obtaining the Dash ability, cross the cage in the southwest area, avoid the vomiting worms in the next room, then drop into the first hole and break the breakable wall to find it.
- ✅ Deep Docks: After obtaining the Tendril Grapple in Shroudwood, pass the trial of enemies to find the shard.

3. Windbreak Armor and Clawstring Mask Shard Acquisition
- ✅ Far Shores (Windbreak Armor): After obtaining the Windbreak Armor near the Tailor, hit the magma rock and move to the top left of the room to find the hidden shard.
- ✅ Far Shores (Clawstring): Using Clawstring and Fadeon Armor, pass the trial of enemies under the crumbling platforms and spiky tunnels inside the skull, then escape while the lava is rising to obtain the shard.

4. 🏆 Bellheart Wish Board Quest: Slay the Vicious Beastfly
- ✅ Accept the 'Slay the Vicious Beastfly' quest from the Bellheart Wish Board.
- ✅ You must defeat the Beastfly again where the Fourth Chorus is located. This time, the platforms temporarily sink into the lava.
- ✅ Return the Beastfly's horn to the board to receive the Mask Shard as a reward.

5. 🌲 Finding Mask Shards in Shroudwood and Blasted Steps
- ✅ Shroudwood: Ride the white flower up in the high room and break through the breakable wall to get the Mask Shard.
- ✅ Blasted Steps: After reaching the high ledge using Clawstring and Double Jump, pass through the room filled with wall-crawling enemies, spikes, and falling rocks to obtain the shard.

6. ⚙️ Obtaining Mask Shards in the Cogwork Core and Song Shrine
- ✅ Cogwork Core: After defeating the Cogwork Dancers, enter the first door on the left and pass the battle with the clockwork enemies to obtain the shard.
- ✅ Song Shrine: After obtaining the wish from the wandering merchant Juliana on the board, find her and have her return to the Song Shrine, then you can purchase the shard for 750 Rosaries.

7. 👻 Finding Mask Shards in the Whispering Vault and The Slab
- ✅ Whispering Vault: Open the hidden trap door in the room below the bench and move the crate to a high position to reach the Mask Shard.
- ✅ The Slab: Use the Apostle's Key and Rotten Duck to open the large room, ride the buzzsaws up, and use the walls and hanging buzzsaws to obtain the Mask Shard.

8. ⛰️ Obtaining Mask Shards in Mount Pyre and Weaversnest Altar
- ✅ Mount Pyre: After obtaining the Pyre-Down Armor, return to the southwest bench at the foot of the mountain and use double jumps and wall jumps inside the pillar to obtain the Mask Shard.
- ✅ Weaversnest Altar: After approaching by playing the needle at the right door of Moss Grotto, the starting area, reactivate the teleporter, go downstairs, and then manually climb the teleporter shaft using wall jumps. Find the breakable wall leading to the lava room to obtain the Mask Shard.

9. 🍄 Finding Mask Shards in Wisperwood and The Gunk
- ✅ Wisperwood: Move up and to the right from the bench, pogo off the wisper lanterns, pass the enemies and traps, and find the Mask Shard at the east end.
- ✅ The Gunk: Follow the long passage above the room where you can find Shakrah, avoid the Slurker Rugs, and be careful not to fall into the dirty water while obtaining the Mask Shard.

- ✅ In Act 3, challenge Sprintmaster Swift to three races in Far Shores.
- ✅ You can get a Mask Shard by winning the last race.

11. 🏹 Act 3: Bellheart Wish Board Quest - Slay the Exile Gurr
- ✅ In Act 3, accept the 'Slay the Exile Gurr' quest from the Bellheart Wish Board.
- ✅ Find and defeat Gurr in Far Shores. Gurr digs into the ground and sets dangerous spike traps.
- ✅ Return the Full Doll that Gurr was guarding to the board to receive the Mask Shard as a reward.

12. 🖤 Act 3: Bellheart Wish Board Quest - Destroy Void Hearts
- ✅ When you start Act 3 quests, the 'Old Heart' wish will appear on the board.
- ✅ You must destroy 12 Void Hearts. They can be found throughout the map in Act 3.
- ✅ You can get another Mask Shard when you complete the cleanup.

13. ❄️ Act 3: Obtaining the Last Mask Shard in Mount Pyre
- ✅ The last Mask Shard can be found in Mount Pyre, but you need the Silk Soar ability.
- ✅ Go to the Abyss to unlock the ability, then move to this point in the ice cave.
- ✅ Use Silk Soar to shoot yourself into the hole in the ceiling, then complete the platforming challenge to get the last Mask Shard.
