This guide shows the best methods and locations to farm resources such as Element, Metal, Organic Polymer, Pearls, Obsidian, and more on the Ark map Valguero. It covers efficient techniques, creatures, and specific locations to maximize yield while minimizing hazards.
1. Element Farming: Avoiding the Mega-Raptor Grandle 🦖
- ✅ Grandle has multiple phases, including a combat phase and a fog phase where additional creatures spawn.
- ⚠️ It is not recommended to farm Grandle, as he is difficult to defeat even with strong creatures.
- ✅ Easier bosses can be farmed more easily for Element drops.

2. Metal Farming in the Aberration Zone with Karkinos and Ankylosaurus ⛏️
- ✅ The best place to farm metal is the Aberration Zone in the Aberration Cave at 47.5 and 57.3.
- ✅ Use a Karkinos to carry Ankys and automatically mine metal.
- ✅ Level the Ankys completely on damage and make sure they only mine metal in auto-harvest mode.

3. Organic Polymer Farming: Aberration Cave and Lower Right Cave 🐻
- ✅ Valguero is the best map for farming organic polymer after Aberration and Ragnarok.
- ✅ In the Aberration Cave, organic polymer can be farmed on the way from the green zone to the blue and radiation zones at coordinates 51 and 61.
- ✅ Dire Bears or Magmasaurs are best suited for farming organic polymer at this location.
- ✅ Alternatively, the cave in the lower right of the map can be used at 78.3 and 90.4.
- ✅ Fly into this cave with a Pteranodon and farm a large number of polymer plants with a bear or Magmasaur.

4. Spoiled Meat, Oil, Fur, Keratin and Polymer from Stranded Creatures 🐬
- ✅ Spoiled meat can be found in large quantities in the middle of the map by farming the stranded creatures around the shores of the lake.

- ✅ Farming in the lake in the snow biome at 30 and 17 is much easier because the pearls are 100 times easier to see there.

6. Black Pearl Farming: Underground Ocean vs. Rock Drake Scar 🦪
- ✅ There are two places where you can farm black pearls: one where it is relatively easy to get them and another where you can farm a large amount of black pearls.
- ✅ The easiest method is to swim into the underground ocean with a fish.
- ✅ The second method is much better in terms of the amount of black pearls, but on the other hand it is significantly more dangerous.
- ✅ To get to the best place for black pearls, you have to reach the deepest point of the Rock Drake Scar in the Aberration Cave.
- ⚠️ The entire area is radioactive, and if you enter this area with a Magmasaur without giving it mushroom soup, it will die very quickly.

- ✅ The fastest place to get oil is in and around the lake in the snow biome where silica pearls have already been farmed.
- ✅ If you don't want to travel far, you can find these oil rocks pretty much anywhere underwater and mine them with a Dunkleosteus.

10. Cementing Paste Farming: Beaver Dams Near the Green Obelisk 🏞️
- ✅ Cementing paste can be obtained from beaver dams.
- ✅ Beavers can only be found on the right side of the map near the green obelisk.
- ✅ Along this lake, not only small but also large beaver dams spawn, which give a stupid amount of paste.
- ✅ A single large beaver dam can give up to 10 slots of paste.
- ✅ With a Wyvern or Argentavis you can fly close to the dams, grab the paste and get straight back on your creature.

11. Chitin/Keratin Farming: Broodmother Lysrix or Carcinos 🕷️
- ✅ There is only one tactic for chitin on Valguero: Broodmother Lysrix.
- ✅ The cave is probably the most unusual cave on the entire map, as the entrance is defended by an adult Broodmother.
- ✅ Alternatively, you can kill Carcinos in the Aberration Zone.
- ✅ If you harvest them with a chainsaw, you can farm insane amounts of chitin and polymer.

12. Honey Farming: Bees in and Around the Redwood Trees 🍯
- ✅ You only have one option for honey on Valguero, and that is bees in and around the redwood trees.
- ✅ The advantage of Valguero is that the redwood tree is very large, which allows for a large number of bees and beehives.
- ✅ Beehives spawn on the redwood trees, and at the same time wild bees fly around on the ground.

13. Sap Farming: Red Root Trees or Elder Claw 🌳

- ✅ With gas collectors, you can easily build a small base in most regions and passively farm gas while doing something else.
- ✅ These gas paths are usually near gem clusters that you can mine at the same time.

22. Gem Farming: Green, Blue and Red Gems in the Aberration Zone 💎
- ✅ You can find green, blue and red gems on Valguero, and farming is easy if you know where to get them.
- ✅ Green gems can only be found in the green zone of Aberration.
