#. About the 3rd Anniversary Story and Content Update

 

I've said before that I'm most looking forward to the 3rd anniversary story among the events that will take place throughout 2025. That's because I felt that the story and content prepared were so appealing.

 

In the 3rd anniversary story, the two squads that are the main pillars of the story, Counters and Pioneers, will each experience a major event and face their own consequences in some form. This marks both an ending and a new beginning, so I hope you enjoy it.

 

 

#. Nayuta is a buffer position character in JRPG

 

First of all, the Pioneer squad that Nayuta belongs to was created with the concept of a JRPG party. Snow White is the tank, Rapunzel is the healer, and Red Lotus is the dealer. Now, the remaining spot is for a buffer, a monk, and Nayuta will take on that role. As she is set as a monk, we put a lot of effort into the related design.

 

Nayuta's theme song is in a metal rock style, which expresses the 'mysterious atmosphere of wandering the world' combined with metal. I hope this feeling is conveyed well.

#. About the design of Heretic Liberallio and Queen

 

We designed Liberallio to express her quiet personality well. We included the image of her moving more by others than by her own will, and we thought that her leg muscles would weaken if she was tied to jellyfish tentacles and hung for a long time, and we reflected this character in the design.

 

The first Queen started from the image that Raptures were trying to imitate humans. They tried to imitate humans, but they were incompletely and clumsily reproduced, resulting in a more bizarre existence.

 

The first Queen, 'Only One,' who appears in the main story, is set as the only unique one in the world, as it is the object that the Forbeasts put their heart and soul into creating. We also increased the number of boss battles to make them look more powerful. We also added elements that users miss to the boss battle, and we put a lot of effort into that as well.

#. Added 'Story Mode' so that even beginner users can complete the story

 

Nikke has also expanded from 16 chapters at launch to 42 chapters in 3 years. As the story is heading towards its climax, we added Story Mode in the hope that more users would enjoy the story.

 

Story Mode has a lower battle difficulty than normal difficulty, making the story more accessible. We want to provide a more comfortable play experience through this mode.

 

 

#. 'Dungeon Addition Notice' Ground Content Beta Begins

 

Ground content is content that utilizes SD characters. We had a strong desire not to create obvious content. In fact, nearly a year of development was invested. After securing stability through beta testing, it will be released with 6 sectors of content. Users who participate in the beta test will be rewarded with growth materials and borders.

 

We also plan to add dungeons (instance dungeons) that can be played in ground content. It is difficult to reveal specific details yet, but it seems that we will be able to show another side of the 'Tyrant'-class boss.

#. Established a Quality Management Group to ensure content stability

 

The workload has continued to increase since launch. It is important to resolve this imbalance and stabilize it. We will establish a group in charge of QM (Quality Management) to stabilize the content.

 

The same goes for character resources. We thought it was necessary to have a process and system to help designers and developers, so we have taken related measures. There were cases where we were satisfied with the various changes, and conversely, there were cases where disappointing results came out. We will continue to improve the process and system to prevent these problems from occurring.

 

 

#. Hate speech is never tolerated

 

Nothing is as precious to the development team as Nikke. We will never tolerate acts such as putting hate speech into the game.

 

The fact is that there are many parts of Nikke that need to be reviewed, and we are missing some parts. We will improve these areas through organizational restructuring, and the PM organization will also cross-check to prevent this from happening. If additional resources are used, problems may occur even after review, and we will establish a process to prevent this from happening again.

 

We will never condone this situation, and we will thoroughly investigate and respond to any case where hate speech or problematic expressions are included in any way.

 

 

#. Collaboration is still necessary to secure a user pool

 

In order to carry the Nikke IP forward in the long term, a related foundation is needed. We believe that it is still effective to proceed with collaborations in this regard. When those who have been introduced through collaboration become users who have experienced Nikke, and the time comes when Nikke can be operated well as returning users, we will be able to focus more on Nikke's own story.

 

We need to secure a user pool for long-term operation, and we believe that collaboration events are somewhat effective, so we ask for your understanding.

 

We agree that the 4-week collaboration event period is too long, and we plan to proceed with a 3-week period. We will carefully approach the performance of collaboration characters so as not to harm the user experience.

#. Regarding 'Loading and Memory Optimization' Future Development Plans

 

It seems that the capacity has become somewhat heavy due to the nature of the game. Solving this is also one of the important tasks. We plan to provide options for memory management. In addition, there are many things we want to try, such as adding more than two character productions, but there are many difficulties due to realistic conditions. We will try to solve the problem and present it next year.

 

We have taken many measures related to loading in 2025, and this work will continue in 2026.
