Advanced Tricks and Glitches in PEAK to Surprise Your Friends
This video shows several glitches and tricks in PEAK, including cactus launching, shroomberry flight, throwing discs at greater distances, strategies against zombies, mandrake manipulation, fall damage cancellation, and recovering the golden idol from the void. Some of these tricks might be patched in the future.
1. 🌵 Cactus Launch: Aerial Boost with Environment Objects
- ✅ In the Mesa biome, you can find cacti that can be stuck to and lifted.
- ✅ Charge a launch and grab onto the cactus in the air to launch yourself.
- ✅ Hold down the launch button (Q) and left click simultaneously.
- ✅ After releasing Q to launch, repeatedly press E to grab the cactus.
- ⚠️ The trick works best if the cursor isn't too high.

2. 🍄 Shroomberry Flight: Extreme Vertical Jumps with Low Gravity
- ✅ In the Roots biome, red, yellow, and purple shroomberries can give you the low gravity effect for 15 seconds.
- ✅ Hold a balloon without using it while having the low gravity effect to gain great vertical height.
- ✅ Make sure to be near a wall or stow the balloon before the effect ends to land safely.
- ✅ You can chain multiple gravity shroomberries to jump large portions of the map.

3. 🥏 Ultimate Disc Throw: Increase Distance with a Sprint Jump
- ✅ To get the ultimate badge, you need to throw a disc 100 meters away.
- ✅ Combine the throw with a sprint jump to increase the distance.
- ✅ Throw the disc while your body is moving upwards from the jump.
- ✅ This allows you to get the badge at the start of the game on the coast.

4. 🧟 Anti-Zombie Strategies: Survival in the Roots Biome
- ✅ In the Roots biome, zombies appear on regular difficulty and higher.
- ✅ Run to the side when the zombie lunges to dodge it.
- ✅ Zombies will comically fall off cliffs.
- ✅ You can relax on top of the large bouncy mushrooms.
- ✅ Use a flying disc to repeatedly hit the zombie in a corner to stun it infinitely.
- ✅ Use a blowgun to put the zombie to sleep.

5. 🌱 Mandrake Tricks: Avoid the Drowsy Effect When Cooking It
- ✅ To get the cryptogastronomy badge, you must cook and eat a mandrake.
- ✅ The mandrake has a 50% chance of appearing when picking up a medicinal root.
- ✅ The mandrake screams, causing nearby players to gain the drowsy effect.
- ✅ Grab onto a wall and pick up the medicinal root to put the mandrake in your inventory without holding it.
- ✅ Alternatively, turn the sound effects volume down to zero to avoid the scream damage.

6. 🤕 Fall Damage Cancellation: Descent Survival
- ✅ If you fall off the mountain, immediately use the play dead mode.
- ✅ Just before touching the ground, spam an object repeatedly to take it out and put it away.
- ✅ This will stop your falling momentum and allow you to land safely.
- ⚠️ Use this trick only when you know you are going to fall very far.

7. 🌋 Golden Idol Ascent: Recovery from the Void and Escape from the Lava
- ✅ If you left the golden idol behind, you can recover it after activating the boiler bonfire.
- ✅ Walk backwards on the platform that appears and fall into the void.
- ✅ Avoid fall damage by using a healing item, an umbrella, or fortified milk, or the fall cancellation trick.
- ✅ Walk until you find the golden idol directly below where you left it.
- ✅ Walk towards the boiler and make sure you have the golden idol in your hand to avoid lava damage.
- ✅ When you are surrounded by the orange lava effect, jump to float back up into the map.
- ✅ Run forward while the lava propels you upwards and try to fit through the holes in the terrain.
- ✅ Once free, find a safe area to store the golden idol and climb up without dying.
- ✅ Throw the object into the furnace lava to get your badge.
