Nongshim appoints 'Dandy' Choi In-kyu as head coach... "For a harmony of old and new"

 

'Dandy' Choi In-kyu has left Hanwha Life Esports and joined Nongshim RedForce.

 

Nongshim RedForce announced on SNS on the 19th that 'Dandy' Choi In-kyu has been appointed as the head coach for the next season. Park Seung-jin, who has been leading the team since 2024, will continue with the team as a coach.

 

An official from Nongshim said, "Coach Choi In-kyu actually spoke with Coach Park Seung-jin and decided to work together next year." He also said, "Coach Park felt that Coach Choi could fill in the gaps from last season, and expressed his desire to assist Coach Choi and contribute to the team."

 

Regarding the recruitment of Coach Choi In-kyu, they added, "The key to this year's roster composition was the harmony of old and new, and Coach Choi In-kyu has experience leading such a team at LPL Estar Gaming. In addition, we believed that his experience in coaching star players in the LCK, as well as his experience in winning championships and international competitions, could fill what we needed."

 

Meanwhile, Nongshim RedForce has filled the vacancies in the ADC and top positions by signing 'TaeYoon' Kim Tae-yoon and 'Sponge' Bae Young-jun ahead of the 2026 season. It is reported that 'Scout' Lee Ye-chan, who was active in the LPL, is likely to join the mid position.
