Kirby Air Ride: Unlock All Characters, Riders, and Alternate Skins!
This guide shows how to unlock all characters, drivers, and alternative skins in Kirby Air Ride. Tips and tricks are given to speed up the unlocking process.
1. 🎮 Introduction to unlocking drivers and skins in Kirby Air Ride
- ✅ Most characters have at least two, if not three, skins.
- ✅ The first skin unlocked unlocks the driver, the skins unlocked after that are alternative colors.
- ✅ It doesn't matter if the challenges are completed in single-player, multiplayer, online, or offline mode.
- ✅ The settings can be adjusted as desired to make the challenges easier.
- ✅ As soon as a check symbol appears in the game, the game can be exited, the progress will be saved.

2. Unlock Bandana Waddle Dee
- ✅ First Skin: Destroy two crates in City Trial within 30 seconds of the start of the game.
- ✅ Second Skin: Complete the Top-Right challenges in Road Trip Top Ride three times.

3. Unlock Cappy
- ✅ First Skin: Complete a lap within 30 seconds with a Warp Start in Top Ride Flower Track.
- ✅ Second Skin: Complete City Trial without getting any Power-Down items (black with white border).

4. Unlock Chef Kawasaki
- ✅ First Skin: In Air Ride Mount Amber Falls, eat the Onigiri from the teahouse (near the beach).
- ✅ Second Skin: Complete the Air Ride challenges in Road Trip Air Ride three times.

5. Unlock Daroach
- ✅ First Skin: Find and defeat the special opponent Jermaine in Air Ride. Jermaine only appears if you are far enough behind the opponents.
- ✅ Second Skin: Lap another driver in Top Ride. Recommendation: Use two-player mode, with the second player not moving.

6. Unlock Gooey
- ✅ First Skin: Win in Top Ride mode on the Air Track after getting into the tornado three times. Set at least four laps, as the tornado can only be hit once per lap.
- ✅ Second Skin: Score 2,000 points in a single match in City Trial Skydive. Select the Stadium event directly from the menu.

7. Unlock King Dedede
- ✅ First Skin: Play Air Ride with random course, driver, and machine selection.
- ✅ Second Skin: Score 80 points in a single match in City Trial Gourmet Race (Stadium Event).
- ✅ Third Skin: Complete a treasure hunt challenge in Road Trip.

8. Unlock Kirby
- ✅ First Skin: Finish on any course in Air Ride without hitting walls.
- ✅ Second Skin: Win the Top Ride Flower Race without getting Copy abilities.
- ✅ Third Skin: In City Trial Big Battle 2, defeat a driver while shrunk. Use power-ups and target already damaged drivers.

9. Unlock Knuckle Joe
- ✅ First Skin: In Sage Trial, steal a machine that another driver is actively using. Weaken the driver first or use two-player mode.
- ✅ Second Skin: In Road Trip, upgrade all stats to at least one.

10. Unlock Lololo & Lalala
- ✅ First Skin: Finish a race in 3 minutes and 30 seconds in Air Ride Crystine Fissure.
- ✅ Second Skin: Defeat 10 drivers riding Star-Type machines in Road Trip.

11. Unlock Magalor
- ✅ First Skin: In Top Ride, launch the same driver into the air twice with a Drill Driver. Use two-player mode.
- ✅ Second Skin: Enter all the secret rooms in City Trial. Follow the directional arrows as soon as a secret room appears.

12. Unlock Marx
- ✅ First Skin: Complete a full lap in Air Ride Free Run without dropping below 19 mph.
- ✅ Second Skin: Spend 300,000 Road Miles in Road Trip.

13. Unlock Meta Knight
- ✅ First Skin: Finish a lap in Air Ride Nebula Belt with more than two collisions with walls.
- ✅ Second Skin: Complete a lap in Top Ride Nova without attacking another driver.

14. Unlock Noir Dedede
- ✅ Defeat the true boss in Road Trip and watch the ending. Play through the game once to unlock New Game Plus, and complete it again to unlock the true ending.

15. Unlock Rick the Hamster
- ✅ First Skin: Win in Top Ride Mountain with at least 5 seconds ahead of the runner-up. Use two-player mode.
- ✅ Second Skin: Enter the shop three times in Road Trip.

16. Unlock Rocky
- ✅ First Skin: Collect a total of 30 items in Top Ride.
- ✅ Second Skin: Open a treasure chest on the road in Road Trip.

17. Unlock Scarfy
- ✅ First Skin: Defeat a Scarfy in Air Ride Wave Flow Waters without making it angry (do not inhale, but use power-ups).
- ✅ Second Skin: Destroy a driver's machine within the first 60 seconds in City Trial. Use two-player mode.

18. Unlock Starman
- ✅ First Skin: Complete four laps in the lead in Top Ride Crystal. Use two-player mode.
- ✅ Second Skin: Fall for 6 seconds in City Trial after boosting only once. Use the Wing Glider and collect Glide and Speed stats.

19. Unlock Susie
- ✅ First Skin: Perform five perfect landings in a single race in Air Ride.
- ✅ Second Skin: Hit three opponents with a single attack in Road Trip (e.g. with a bomb or spike).
13:59 - 14:54
20. Unlock Waddle Doo
- ✅ First Skin: Finish Air Ride Floria Fields without crashing into opponents. Set one lap and slow down the game speed.
- ✅ Second Skin: Hit a driver with a Coarse Quacker in Top Ride. Use two-player mode and wait for the item to appear.
14:55 - 16:06
21. Unlock Taranza
- ✅ First Skin: Drive a distance of 5,469 yards in Air Ride Beantock Park. Set a time match to 10 minutes.
- ✅ Second Skin: Win a short race in Sage Trial. This appears naturally in City Trial.
