Risk of Rain 2: Operator Character Guide (Alloyed Collective)
1. 🎮 Operator Skill Overview: Drones and Attacks
  • Passive - Drone Technology: Start each match with two free tier 1 drones (Gunner, Healing, and Transport).
  • Hidden Passive: All drones are queued, the next drone is indicated by floating near the character, but does not provide its effects until used with an active ability.
  • Primary Skill - OCR Custom: Single pistol shot that deals more damage the more it's charged (up to four charges). Recharges faster with higher attack speed. Shots can bounce to nearby enemies if they get a killing blow, but deal 25% less damage with each bounce.
  • Default Secondary Skill - Admin Override: Commands the next drone in the queue to use its special ability, which varies depending on the drone type.

Drone TypeSpecial Ability
HealingGrants a portion of its healing as barrier and provides a brief burst of attack speed.
GunnerPerforms a burst of shots that bounce from the target to another nearby enemy, dealing 50% less damage.

2. 💥 Alternative Secondary and Special Skills: Command Swarm, Ascent Protocol, Firewall, Ejection Core, and AMP Core
  • Alternative Secondary Skill - Command Swarm: Targets an enemy at long range and sends the next drone in the queue crashing into it, dealing 450% damage in a small area and igniting with a critical strike. Gains an additional charge per drone possessed.
  • Default Utility Skill - Ascent Protocol: Jumps to a nearby drone and has it slowly carry you downwards. The first use always uses the next drone in the queue. Each time you successfully latch onto a drone, you gain an additional use of the ability and the normal 7 second cooldown is reduced to just 3, allowing you to chain your latches.
  • Alternative Utility Skill - Firewall: Deploys a small shield in front of you that blocks incoming projectiles for up to 4 seconds, launching forward when released, dealing up to 600% damage based on how long the shield was held. Requires holding the button to keep the shield active.
  • Default Special Skill - Ejection Core: Launches the next drone in the queue in front of you, which stops on what it impacts and then explodes dealing 300% damage, knocking up and applying nanobots to all enemies in its radius until they hit the ground.
  • Alternative Special Skill - AMP Core: Launches the next drone in the queue in front of you, which explodes after a couple seconds, dealing up to 2000% damage in an area, both the damage and explosion radius depend on how much damage the AMP core took while active.

3. 🦠 Nanobot Mechanics and AMP Core: Damage and Effects
  • Nanobots: Doubles the damage of your abilities by generating additional hits (120% of your base damage). Each nanobot has a proc coefficient of 0.5, allowing both the ability and the nanobots to trigger on-hit effects.
  • AMP Core: The damage and explosion radius depend on how much damage the AMP core took while active. It can be damaged by anyone, allowing stacks to be quickly increased to the maximum.

4. 🚀 Gameplay Strategies: Mobility with Ascent Protocol and Skill Options
  • Mobility: Use Ascent Protocol for superior vertical and horizontal mobility. Latch onto a drone, get an extra jump, and repeat the process. Always jump before using the utility again to gain additional height and momentum.
  • Firewall: Don't use Firewall, as it sacrifices mobility.
  • Primary: Don't worry about max charge time, you'll naturally reach three or four charges while running through the stage.
  • Secondary: Swarm is preferable for its unconditional damage, but Admin Override can be useful with better drones.

5. 💥 Secondary and Special Skills: Command Swarm, Admin Override, Ejection Core, and AMP Core
  • Secondary: Swarm is preferable for its unconditional damage, but Admin Override can be useful with better drones.
  • Special: Both Ejection Core and AMP Core are viable, but AMP Core provides higher numerical damage and a massive explosion radius.

6. ⭐ Featured Items for the Operator: Spare Drone Parts, Crowbar, Syringes, Hiker's Boots, and Ukulele
  • Spare Drone Parts: A must-have item for a drone-based character.
  • Crowbar: Deals massive damage to enemies at full health, especially when combined with the primary attack's max charge.
  • Syringes: Increases attack speed, allowing for faster primary attack recharges and more shots.
  • Hiker's Boots: Provides critical chance and critical damage, which is especially useful on the Operator due to their ability to stay above enemies.
  • Ukulele: Works well with the AMP Core, allowing you to damage enemies while the core is charging.
