Naddic Games announced today (14th) through its official lounge that it will be terminating the service for its collectible RPG 'Closers RT: New Order' on July 14th.

Closers RT: New Order is a spin-off of the PC online action RPG 'Closers,' developed by Naddic Games in 2014 and published by Nexon. It tells the story of summoning Closers and various Phase Ability users from the original work to a parallel world where Phase Ability users would not normally appear, in order to prevent the world's destruction.

At its initial reveal, it garnered attention by introducing the ability to form a dream team with popular characters from the original work, regardless of affiliation, under the cause of preventing the world's destruction. It also highlighted tactical elements such as strategically deploying each unit and planning the optimal operation route. In particular, the announcement of a high-quality animated teaser along with pre-registration attracted the attention of subculture users.

However, despite being scheduled for release on May 31st, the release date was delayed by a week due to the discovery of errors during the review process. Even after its release on Google Play on June 7th, it failed to pass the App Store review, leading to repeated delays in the iOS version release, showing an unstable appearance. In terms of gameplay, it also received user feedback that it was lacking in various aspects such as graphics, UI, and convenience. And on the 14th, a week after its release, the service termination was announced.

Lee Seon-joo, CEO of Naddic Games, expressed her apologies through the service termination notice, saying, "I am very sorry for showing many shortcomings that did not meet the high expectations you have shown us." She added, "We will never take the painful experience of service termination lightly and will use it as a lesson to provide more wonderful stories, better games, and better services. We will think more deeply about what the core of Closers is, develop it further, and work fiercely to create a lovable game with definite appeal."

Along with the service termination announcement, in-app purchases made from June 7th to 14th will be automatically refunded sequentially from June 14th to July 14th.
