Arc Raiders: Karma Cleansing Time Test
This video checks if the Karma matching system actually exists in Ark Raiders and tests how long it takes to clear Karma. It observes player interactions and the resulting Karma changes.
1. 🤝 Between Cooperation and Betrayal: Observing How the Karma System Works
- ✅ Players attempt positive interactions, such as helping other players without attacking them first, or responding to requests to be killed.
- ⚠️ Attacking or betraying other players may negatively affect Karma.
- ✅ After a positive interaction, the reaction of 'wholesome' suggests that the Karma system influences player behavior.
| Action | Expected Karma Change |
|---|---|
| Helping another player | Positive change |
| Attacking another player | Negative change |

2. 🤔 Difficulty of Clearing Karma: Continuous Interaction Test
- ✅ The player is asked for help by another player but refuses, answering 'no'. This seems like a neutral action.
- ⚠️ It is not clear how not helping other players, or attempting to backstab them, affects Karma.
- ✅ In the latter part of the video, another player hesitates to attack, which can be interpreted as indirect evidence that they are aware of the Karma system.
| Situation | Player Reaction | Karma Impact (Estimated) |
|---|---|---|
| Refusal to help | Does not help | Neutral or slight negative change |
| Hesitation to attack | Does not attack | Potential for positive change |
