Chapter 9 deals with the complex and tragic relationship between Ryoshu, her clone daughter Araya, and Ryoshu's adoptive father, Rune. Rune raised Ryoshu on orders, but cherished her like his own daughter. Ryoshu also experiences love as a mother through Araya, but their happiness does not last long.
