ARK: Survival Ascended - Guide to defeating the Alpha boss in Lost Colony (Solo and Easy)
This guide provides a detailed strategy to defeat the Alpha boss in Lost Colony in ARK: Survival Ascended, including preparation, required tributes, recommended creatures, equipment, and a step-by-step walkthrough of each combat phase.
1. Initial preparation and required tributes for the Alpha boss in Lost Colony
- ✅ The boss is located in the crater in the upper corner of the city, marked by a red beacon. If it's blocked, the fight cannot be started.
- ✅ In Lost Colony, instead of artifacts, sigils are needed, which are obtained by completing outpost missions for the Lost King or Revenant factions.
- ✅ There are three difficulty levels, each requiring an increasing number of tributes.
- ✅ Everin (defense) and Crimson (attack) sigils are needed, in addition to tributes such as Alpha Oidon skulls, Neopight horns, and Alpha Zombie brains.
| Difficulty | Tributes |
|---|---|
| Fácil | Everin and Crimson Sigils + Basic Tributes |
| Normal | Everin and Crimson Sigils + Intermediate Tributes |
| Alfa | Everin and Crimson Sigils + Advanced Tributes |

2. Recommended creatures for the combat against the Alpha boss
- ✅ Up to 20 creatures can be brought, including thraws (each thraw counts as one creature).
- ✅ The recommended composition is: 1 Pyro Main (as a shoulder pet), 1 Reaper (to ride) and 18 Oidons, Fairies or Dofuriums (with decent saddles).
- ✅ Alternatively, 1 Utyrannosaurus and 19 Fairies can be used.
- ✅ The Reaper facilitates certain parts of the combat.

3. Essential equipment and gear for the boss fight
- ✅ It is recommended to bring several sets of good quality armor (Flak).
- ✅ Medicines, food, and good quality weapons (compound bow or shotgun).
- ✅ Parachutes, as there are Desmodus that try to throw the player to the ground.
04:48 - 07:06
4. Strategy for the first phase: Outer courtyard and the trap door
- ✅ The first room is quiet, allowing you to prepare the creatures.
- ✅ In the outer courtyard, the door is blocked until 50 creatures are killed (Seratos, Throlls, Deathmodus and an Ice Elemental).
- ✅ It is recommended to put the creatures in aggressive mode, use the Reaper's spin attack and eliminate the Ice Elemental at the end.
- ✅ After killing all the creatures, Helena will open the next door.
- ⚠️ Do not run into the next room, as there are fire traps.
- ✅ Send the creatures in first to eliminate the enemies waiting behind the door.

5. Obtaining the override codes: Strategies to defeat the Thraws
- ✅ The codes are obtained by killing three Thraw bosses: Flamethrower Fro, Dead Eye and Highle Lost Oidon.
- ✅ Trick for the Fros: You cannot enter their rooms with creatures, but you can attack them from the door.
- ✅ Flamethrower Fro: Place creatures in front of the room, enter, attract the Fro and run out so that the creatures attack it from the door.
- ✅ Dead Eye: Lure it out of the room or use a Pyro Main to reduce damage. It can get stuck on the wall.
- ✅ Lost Oidon: Simply attack it until it dies.
09:20 - 12:38
6. Obtaining the master override code and arrival at the meeting point
- ✅ The master code is obtained by killing another Thraw boss, using the same trick as the Fro.
- ✅ Eliminate the low-level Thraws in the room before attracting the boss.
- ✅ The next area shows captured aberrant creatures.
- ✅ In the open area with a tree, a wave of Fros will attack. Use Reaper for crowd control and bring medicines.
- ✅ On the bridge with gargoyles, stay behind the creatures and eliminate dangerous enemies such as golems and basilisks.
- ✅ Gather all the creatures at the meeting point to start the final fight.
12:39 - 14:24
7. Combat against the Lost King and the Gigadesmodus
- ✅ The Gigadesmodus flies around the arena and four pylons must be destroyed for it to land.
- ✅ Use a Reaper to jump between the pylons and destroy them quickly.
- ✅ Destroy the pylons several times until the Gigadesmodus dies.
- ✅ The Lost King dies automatically after defeating the Gigadesmodus.
14:25 - 16:17
8. Final showdown against the Lost Queen
- ✅ The Lost Queen appears and cannot be attacked at first.
- ✅ Collect the Text Bear in the arena to be able to fight her.
- ✅ The combat is a tutorial for the Text Bear. Keep the attack button pressed and block her attacks.
- ✅ When she falls to the ground, attack the red ray of the Codex to prevent her from healing.
- ✅ Repeat the process until you defeat her.
16:18 - 16:36
9. Rewards and final Ascension
- ✅ After a long scene, engrams, bonus levels and red element are obtained.
- ✅ Use the element to ascend in the terminal in the center of the arena.
