2. ⚔️ Charged Slash Combos and Knockdown Utilization
· This is a Charged Slash combo that can also be used as a knockdown combo.
· It's a cycle that starts with a Charged Slash, goes into a True Charged Slash, then mixes in Evade Tackle, Focus Attack, and Upswing, before returning to the Charged Slash.
· These techniques can also be used after a regular Charged Slash or Strong Charged Slash to react to monster patterns.
Linked SkillUsage Scenario
Evade TacklePosition adjustment or when a monster pattern is imminent
Focus AttackWhen a wound occurs or when you want to quickly deal damage during a monster's pattern gap
UpswingPreparing for a Counter Slash or maintaining Affinity while cycling attacks

· Recommended Great Sword knockdown combo: Land a 3-charge Charged Slash and Strong Charged Slash, then finish with Focus Attack and Leaping Wide Slash.
· If you're short on time, you can skip the Focus Attack in the middle.
· There's also a combo using the True Charged Slash (starting with Focus Attack -> 3-charge Strong Charged Slash -> True Charged Slash), but in Wilds, the True Charged Slash is weaker, resulting in similar damage, and using Focus Attack can deactivate Critical Eye, so the former combo is recommended.

3. 🛡️ Counter Slash (Upswing) Combos and Normal Situation Handling
· These are combos frequently used when facing monsters in normal situations.
· After most actions, you can use Guard and cancel it to quickly enter the Upswing stance.
· It's mainly used when a Counter Slash is successfully landed, and is useful in various situations, such as after a Leaping Wide Slash.
· It can also counter patterns with a Just Guard, making it the most frequently used combo in practice, so it's recommended to get familiar with it.
· The combo that links to Charged Slash after a successful Counter Slash is complex, but it's essential for high-level Great Sword play as it allows for various situational responses and creates openings for Charged Slashes.
· After an Upswing, pressing Charged Slash will put you in a regular Charged Slash stance, while after a successful Counter Slash, it will put you in a True Charged Slash stance.
· If you want to deal immediate damage after a successful Counter Slash, you can simply unleash the attack while in the Charged Slash stance.
· When a monster's pattern comes in, counter with a Tackle, and then, depending on the monster's pattern, either re-enter the Upswing stance to look for a Counter Slash opening, or use Leaping Wide Slash or Charged Slash.
· If there's no opening to continue the combo, stop the chain with an evade or guard.

4. ✨ Great Sword Practical Tips and Skill Utilization Know-How
· Practical Great Sword skill tips.
SkillTip
Counter Slash (Upswing)The higher the charge level, the stronger the Perfect Counter damage and the higher the accumulated stun value.
It's important to pre-emptively enter the Upswing stance to perform a Counter Slash with as much charge as possible.
Upon a regular success, hyper armor is maintained for quite a long time.
After a Perfect Counter, you cannot immediately re-enter the Upswing stance, so quickly roll sideways to cancel the animation delay and then assume the stance.
Focus AttackThis is a frequently used skill even if no wound is present.
It can be naturally linked after any motion and is good for quick jabs during brief openings like monster flinches.
When using it, it's best to keep the left stick neutral and only adjust the aim to perform the downward strike motion (sideways motions have poor hitboxes).
If the monster is knocked down by the follow-up attack, continue with the True Charged Slash cycle.
Focus ModeThis is a very important mode.
This is because when using Charged Slash, you move a considerable distance towards a target within a certain range while slashing.
It also allows for directional changes when using various charged attacks, so you must activate Focus Mode when using charged attacks.
