· This is a guide for building a simple outpost within the Rift to alleviate the difficulties of farming Aritite Crystals and Cobalt Paste.
· Although the Chrome Facility set was used, you can utilize any other desired set.
· The base is located between Mineral POI 1 and 2, northwest of Cther.

· Use a foundation trick to raise the main sub-shift two tiles high off the ground.
· Create a narrow 2x4 buggy garage, and raise the rest of the floor one tile high.
· Excavate a 3x2 section beneath the raised part to use as a power and utility room.
· Install generators in the utility room to power the shield.

· Use Chrome Facility pieces to stack walls two tiles high.
· Primarily use two walls on the bottom, one wall on top, and place windows intermittently.
· Create a ceiling strip above the garage entrance and install roof coverings on both sides.
· Block off the walls of the raised section with a ceiling, hatch frame, and ladder to connect to the upper floor.

· Simply construct the hangar walls using two walls on the bottom and one wall on top.
· Install a Penta Shield on the front. This is an aesthetic choice; the thopter will be safe even without a shield, as it's completely waterproof.
· As before, create a ceiling strip and install roof coverings on both sides with flat half-wall finishes.
· Use sloped roof pieces and flat roof pieces to create the hangar roof, following the flow of the gable. Once the roof is complete, you can remove the 1x3 ceiling strip at the front.

· Descend to the first floor and cover the garage with sloped roof pieces.
· Create a separate wall between the garage and the raised section, mixing walkway walls and windows.
· Close the roof above the garage and remove the ceiling strip as before.
· Replace the windows on both sides of the central front window with walls.
· On the exterior, add visual details by creating small buttresses using foundations, half-walls, wedge walls, and ramps.

· Create tall windows at the rear of the hangar using windows and walkways.
· Replace some walls with walkways to make the hangar feel more open.

· Once the base shell is complete, you have two utilization options.
· Option 1: Storage Facility
· Use it as a waypoint between the harvesting and processing stages.
· It's ideal for low-maintenance use if your main base has sufficient water and power infrastructure.
· Option 2: On-site Aritite Processing
· With a bit of extra investment, you can process Aritite directly at the outpost.
· Install basic Chemical Refineries, Death Stills, and water and corpse storage.
· This setup produces 25k water per hour and requires 300kW of power, which can be easily met with four generators.
· Blood purification is a low-power consumption method, and the Rift has plenty of enemies, providing abundant blood and corpse sources.
· Death Stills and Chemical Refineries can be upgraded, but they will require corresponding power and storage space.
· The current layout is a mid-tier design, producing enough water to process approximately 1,000 Aritite Crystals per corpse in the Death Still.

· This base location is between two mineral extraction POIs, making the resource gathering route very straightforward.
· Use a route where you drive your buggy past the first POI, ascend one level, cross a land bridge to the second POI, and then return to the outpost.
· Aritite farming can be cumbersome, but utilizing this outpost makes it much easier.
· You can leave your buggy at the base, fly out to collect crystals whenever needed, drop them off at the base, and then quickly transport your loot to your main base.
· This base is extremely useful for consistently farming crystals and cobalt paste, which are needed from mid-game to late-game.
