Geometry Dash: The untold story and bounty of the dreaded 'Heliopolis'
1. 🎮 Mindcap's 'Top 1' Dream and Past Attempts
· Mindcap has dreamed of hosting a 'Top 1' mega-collaboration level since he first joined the Geometry Dash community 11 years ago.
· He was fascinated by iconic 'Top 1' levels like Artificial Ascent and Zodiac, seeing the best players come together to create something massive and grand.
· Initially, he wanted his name next to 'Top 1', but over time, he focused more on originality and level quality rather than just difficulty.
· However, his desire for 'Top 1' never faded, and he made three past attempts.
Level NameResult and Reason
GammaSonics verified it, placing it 3rd on the Demonlist.
Mindcap wanted Wooshi to buff the level to make it #1 but gave up due to concerns about deleting existing victors' records.
SigmaIt could have been the hardest demon, but feeling it was unfair for a potential hacker to verify it, he entrusted it to Technical, placing it 7th.
OrbitIt could have been #1 if Zoink hadn't been stopped from buffing the level, but he refrained due to his belief that difficulty should be tied to the level's theme.
Consequently, Orbit became a 'Top 5' level.
· Mindcap adhered to his philosophy that a 'Top 1' demon shouldn't just be difficult, but its difficulty must be closely tied to the level's theme itself.

2. 🔥 The Birth of 'Heliopolis' and Unprecedented Difficulty
· The theme of 'Heliopolis' was inspired by a specific life event, and because of this event, the level had to be the hardest timing demon, meaning the hardest demon, no matter what.
· When 'Heliopolis' first began about 6 years ago, it was already overwhelmingly difficult.
· However, as time passed, more difficult levels emerged, and Mindcap became anxious that his 'Top 1' dream might vanish.
· Ultimately, Mindcap decided to turn 'Heliopolis' into a 'monster'. It became a level no one wanted to play, one that even the best players feared.
· Even Zoink was reluctant to touch this level; the gameplay was nearly impossible and mentally exhausting.
· Out of 6 verifiers, only Garbag and Abdel remained unafraid, and after a year and a half of effort, they nearly completed the level in two runs, excluding the final 5%.
· Mindcap asserted that 'Heliopolis' is far harder than 'Grief' and belongs to an entirely new difficulty tier, firmly rejecting demands to nerf the level.
· He agreed to share the dream of 'Heliopolis' becoming 'Top 1' with the verifiers, sharing the pressure placed upon them.

3. 💰 Community Bounty for 'Heliopolis' Verification
· Mindcap declared that 'Heliopolis' would be 'Top 1' no matter what, encouraging the entire community to participate in verifying the level in an unprecedented way.
· This is not just an open verification. It's because even though the level was leaked multiple times, no one could make progress.
· 'Heliopolis' is currently much harder than TS2 and Grief, but it will continue to be updated to remain harder than any 'Top 1' level. In other words, the sooner it's verified, the less impossible the difficulty will be.
· Mindcap never thought the day would come when he'd put a bounty on his own level, but he stated, 'Impossible levels require impossible incentives.'
