Delta Force is currently serviced in two versions: the global version (Level Infinite, Steam) and the Garena Latin America version. While the Garena version is primarily used by mobile players, PC and console players use the global version, leading to a disconnect in the community. Specifically, the Garena mobile version has a small player base, resulting in long matchmaking times and a high number of bots, leading to a poor gaming experience. The PC version is also not recommended over the Steam version due to the instability of the Garena launcher. In contrast, the global version via Steam maintains a vibrant player base, and Latin American players can quickly match with real players with good ping (40-70ms), offering a much better experience.

Delta Force previously struggled with severe hacking problems, but significant improvements have been made in 2026. The PC version has introduced new anti-cheat systems like DMA activation and [ __ ] 2.0, enhancing security. Furthermore, efforts to eradicate cheating continue, such as providing rewards for losses against cheaters. While these measures have reduced the number of cheaters, they have not been completely eliminated.

The most significant feature of the Season 9 update is the addition of the new rifle, the 'M82 Slava.' This weapon boasts a unique armor-piercing capability, allowing it to bypass any type of armor and deal direct damage. It also enables continuous firing without reloading, putting constant pressure on enemies, and features a high magazine capacity and excellent suppression performance. With the introduction of this rifle, even Tier 6 armor is no longer safe, and it is expected to bring significant changes to the meta, potentially leading to increased insurance costs.

Penalties for cheating have been significantly increased. Previously, account suspension for account sharing was up to 30 days, but now it can be up to 10 years, which is the same level of punishment as for cheating itself. Furthermore, legal action is being taken against websites that openly sell cheating services and account sharing, with some already processed and more stringent crackdowns planned. In addition, the new replay AI system monitors player behavior in real-time from the start of the match, and the AI generates over 90% of new detection rules, creating a system that evolves faster than cheaters.

'Zero Dawn's Treasure Vault' appears to be obtainable for free at first glance, but it is actually a challenging content that requires players to access it through combat with enemies. The vault opens for 30 seconds, during which players must acquire loot. Inside the vault, there are good items, but also junk items, and failing to escape within the time limit can lead to an unpleasant outcome. This content is expected to attract hardcore players and provide breathing room for new and returning players, bringing positive changes to player dynamics.

The Season 9 update includes various improvements to enhance player convenience. First, weapon racks have been added to the collection room, allowing players to inspect their weapons and check their status. Players can now also see their legs and experience more realistic movements, such as natural landings and crouching. Interactive objects like levers, ziplines, and card readers can now be directly displayed, facilitating smoother communication with teammates, and the UI distinguishing between enemy players and AI enemies has been clarified. A transparency adjustment feature for the waypoint menu has also been added to avoid obstructing vision.

Delta Force will be collaborating with Lara Croft from Tomb Raider starting April 30th. The Lara Croft skin will be applied to the well-matched operator 'Luna,' and it is expected that her iconic bow will be usable. Additionally, a new operator named 'Moss' will be added. Moss is an acoustics expert, and his ultimate ability, the sonic grenade, temporarily incapacitates enemies' hearing, while his ultimate skill allows for real-time enemy location tracking based on the sounds they make.

The new operation maps are planned to have branching endings or various conclusions based on player actions and decisions, and players will be able to see whether their choices were right or wrong upon the release of the next season. Additionally, the 'Dump' map in the existing 'Operation Mode' has been deepened with a river, added foliage, and new entry points to facilitate pursuits. New maps like 'Aftershock' are large and focus on urban combat, reminiscent of classic Battlefield maps, while maps like 'Space City' have been redesigned to reduce camping and improve gameplay. Players can now swim and dive, and new parkour sections and interactive objects have been added to enrich the gameplay.

The global PC version (Steam) of Delta Force maintains a vibrant player base, with concurrent player counts fluctuating between 60,000 and 150,000. This indicates that it is consistently ranked among the top 5-15 most popular games on Steam. Notably, this figure does not include the vast player base in China and the large number of players in Latin America, suggesting that the actual global popularity is likely much higher. Some have even suggested that Delta Force may have negatively impacted Battlefield 6's player count since its release.

The playability of Delta Force in 2026 depends on which version you choose. The Garena Latin America version's mobile offering provides a disappointing experience due to a lack of players and bot-heavy matchmaking, feeling largely neglected. In contrast, the PC version is strongly recommended to be played via Steam. The Steam version has a much more active player base, and even Latin American players can quickly match with real players with ping below 70ms. Despite overall game improvements and content additions, the version fragmentation remains a significant drawback.
