· On the Shifting Sands map, you need to use Flax instead of Cotton.
· Flax can be obtained from purple flowers found near barracks or other players' bases.
· These flowers will become harvestable after a certain amount of time.

· Flax can be grown with just regular fertilizer, making it easy to cultivate crops.
· Once you obtain seeds, you can plant them immediately to grow Flax.
· Currently, there's no direct conversion function for Flax seeds in the game version, but this is expected to be updated later.
· On the regular map, Cotton seeds can be processed in an Oil Press, but this feature is not supported on Shifting Sands.

· One of the easiest ways to get Flax is by breaking crates in barracks farms or camps.
· For early game, barracks accessible by boat are recommended.
· You can reach them using a boat that can travel on sand, a regular boat, or even by swimming.
· In these barracks, you can also find other crops like garlic and onions besides Flax.

· Barracks offer a good opportunity to obtain Thralls for crafting.
· Visiting at night allows for easier exploration while avoiding enemy sightlines.
· If you're low level, it's best to quietly take down enemies from the sides.
· If you find a camel or donkey near the barracks, you can tame it to easily create a farm.
· You can also find Wheat, which can be planted directly for cultivation without needing to convert it into seeds.

· It's recommended to have a sickle ready to speed up harvesting.
· If you have a companion skilled in crop harvesting, bringing them along can be efficient.
· Harvesting Flax grants experience points, and sometimes there's a chance for other crops to grow.
· Defeating enemies can yield equipment that can be dismantled.

· It's highly recommended to break the jars and barrels inside barracks as they can contain seeds or rare items.
· Breaking jars might yield Flax seeds, and sometimes items can be found on the roof.
· Breaking weapon racks can grant free weapons.

· If there's a fish tanning workbench nearby, it's worth destroying it.
· This can yield rare Frankincense or incense powder.
