· The 'Stellar Invitee' is a system in Honkai: Star Rail's character pickup banners that allows you to pre-select a character you might obtain if you lose the 50/50 chance.
· With the version 4.2 update, a total of 3 new 5-star characters – Silver Wolf, Himeko, and Argenti – have been added to the 'Stellar Invitee' pool.
· This necessitates a re-evaluation of the optimal 5-star character selection strategy for both existing and new players.

· Argenti: While he garnered attention for his unique appearance upon release, many players skipped him due to his performance being specialized for the meta and Pure Fiction content at the time. His value has somewhat increased as the difficulty of Pure Fiction content has risen, but he is still considered a lower priority as other characters can sufficiently substitute him. He is rated as B-tier for new players.
· Himeko: She performs a similar role to Clara but allows for more engaging and proactive gameplay. As a counter-mechanic character, she was effective in both Memory of Chaos and Pure Fiction upon release. However, some argue that her performance is somewhat lacking compared to newer characters, earning her the nickname 'Clara Pro Max'. She is rated as B-tier.

· Silver Wolf: After receiving several buffs since her release, she boasts extremely powerful performance even now. Various performance enhancements have been made, such as increased debuff effects upon Weakness Break, energy acquisition at the start of battle, increased critical damage, and a higher chance to reduce enemy DEF. Her ability to implant a single-target weakness and then transfer it to other enemies is particularly useful. She is strongly recommended as an S-tier character even at this point.

· Clara: With Himeko being referred to as 'Clara Pro Max', Clara's value has relatively decreased. Due to power creep, she is now considered to have no priority for the 'Stellar Invitee' list.

· Seele: She hasn't received any buffs and specializes in single-target attacks, making it difficult for her to perform in the current meta. She is rated as D-tier.
· Gepard: While he was once the sole Preservation character, his value has significantly decreased with the release of stronger Preservation and Abundance characters like Aventurine and Luocha. Although he's not in the lowest tier due to being a unique Preservation character, it's advisable to prioritize other Preservation characters. He is rated as C-tier.
· Fu Xuan: Her damage-sharing and self-healing abilities are excellent, but she is evaluated as being unable to perform as well as before due to the high damage output in the latest content. However, she still shows good performance in general content and is rated as A-tier.

· Pela: Her performance is unstable due to the random healing that spreads from a single target to surrounding allies after a single-target heal. While she offers ally revival and damage reduction effects, her performance falls short compared to the latest healers. She is rated as C-tier.
· Healers (HuoHuo, Bailu, etc.): Not just healing amount, but additional effects (energy, ATK boost, debuff cleanse, etc.) are important. Pela lacks these additional effects, causing her to be outclassed by newer healers.

· Kafka: Her performance has improved with recent buffs that increased her attack frequency and multipliers. However, she might be at a disadvantage in metas specialized for DoT content. Despite this, she is rated as A-tier as a powerful damage dealer.
· Blade: His HP-scaling multipliers, self-healing capabilities, and enemy taunt abilities have been enhanced through buffs. His synergy with HP-related characters and content has improved, leading to strong performance in MoC and Pure Fiction. He is rated as A-tier.
· Himeko: She maintains strong performance in Pure Fiction content and Destruction-specialized content. She is a character whose value doesn't diminish over time and is rated as A-tier.
· Welt: With recent buffs, he has gained versatile abilities such as DEF reduction, action delay, and increased ally damage. Especially at E6, the effect of increasing the entire team's resistance penetration has been added, making him rated as S-tier.

· Bronya: She provides powerful buffs such as ally action order manipulation, debuff cleansing, and ATK/Crit DMG increases. However, her buffs have short durations, and she consumes a significant amount of SP. While she was the best support in version 1.0, she is now rated as A-tier with the emergence of more efficient supporters like Sparkle.

· Top Priority Recommendation (S-Tier): Welt, Silver Wolf
· Consideration (A-Tier): Himeko, Bronya, Kafka, Blade, Fu Xuan
· Recommendation for New Players: Argenti (B-Tier)
· Not Recommended: Clara, Seele, Gepard, Himeko (B-Tier and below)

· Additional Considerations:
     - If you own E6 characters: You may consider prioritizing those characters to obtain Stellar Jade.
     - New Characters (Robin, Xueyi, etc.): Robin is expected to be useful in the long run with her versatile abilities like ATK and energy buffs, and debuff cleansing. Xueyi's evaluation is currently mixed, but she is a character with potential.

· If you own E6 characters, it is advantageous to add them to the 'Stellar Invitee' list to obtain Stellar Jade.
· The Stellar Jade shop currently features Ruan Mei, Topaz & Numby, and will include Robin and Xueyi added in version 4.2.
· Ruan Mei and Xueyi, in particular, have excellent performance, so consider acquiring them using Stellar Jade.
