Monster Hunter Now: Kulu-Ya-Ku Heavy Bowgun Best Build Guide - Evasion Reload & Special Ammo Perfect Analysis
1. ⚡ Kagachi Heavy Bowgun Introduction and Features
· In this video, similar to the previous Zinogre Heavy Bowgun video, we'll cover recommended equipment configurations, parameter choices, and practical gameplay for the Kagachi Heavy Bowgun.
· After upgrading, the Kagachi Heavy Bowgun has the same stats as the Zinogre Heavy Bowgun, but its Thunder ammo capacity is 6 rounds, which is less than Zinogre's (8 rounds). Unlike Zinogre, which uses 2 Frost ammo followed by Pierce ammo, Kagachi uses 2 Frost ammo followed by 6 Pierce ammo.
· This results in a difference of 4 fewer special shots per magazine.
· In terms of SP and weapon skills, Zinogre Heavy has Machine Gun Spread for SP and Counter Barrier for its skill, while Kagachi Heavy has Sniper Spread for SP and Evade Extender for its skill. This offers advantages such as gaining a superior position or easier evasion when operating in an evasion reload build.

2. 🎯 Kagachi Heavy Bowgun Build Types: Evasion Reload & Special Shot Specialization
· The basic operational strategy for the Kagachi Heavy Bowgun is similar to the Zinogre Heavy Bowgun, divided into evasion reload and special shot specialization types.
· Additionally, a Thunder element build utilizing the newly added High Charge (Fast Charge) is also worth considering.
· This video explains these three configurations and recommended parameter settings.
· Evasion Reload Practical Gameplay (Against 8, 9, 10 Star Monsters)
· 8-Star Tetranadon: Can be defeated with special shots alone, taking about 7-8 seconds at high rank.
· 9-Star Tetranodon: Use special shots to break weak points, and if ammo is insufficient, perform evasion reload twice to defeat it. Takes about 16 seconds.
· 10-Star Nargacuga: Targeting the legs is crucial, and a similar strategy can be applied to monsters with legs as weak points. Use evasion reload to dodge enemy attacks and strike weak points. Takes about 45 seconds.
· Recommended Equipment Configuration for Evasion Reload
· Head: Tetranadon
· Body: Kulu-Ya-Ku
· Arms: Tetranadon
· Waist: Nargacuga
· Legs: Barroth
· This configuration includes defensive skills, which provide damage reduction when activated along with evasion reload.

3. 📊 Evasion Reload Parameter and Skill Selection Guide
· When operating the evasion reload build, prioritizing level 1 Attack Boost (increases attack power multiplier) over 3 elemental attack skills yields a higher expected value.
· Since the multipliers for elemental attack skills and attack skills are both +100, choosing attack skills is more advantageous.
· Critical Eye skills generally have a lower expected value than attack skills, but can be considered in combination with Weakness Exploit.
· Recommended Skill Combinations (Based on Expected Value)
· 1st Priority (Personal Recommendation): 3x True Critical Element, 1x Weakness Exploit, 1x Evade Window
- This combination has an expected value of 11851 with 3 points invested in Attack Boost, which is higher than the combination of 5x Thunder Attack even with a 70% Weakness Exploit proc.
- It is highly compatible with the Zinogre Heavy Bowgun and increases stability despite a 2% drop in expected value.
· 2nd Priority: 5x Thunder Attack
- Expected value of 11820 with 3 points invested in Attack Boost.
· 3rd Priority: 5x True Critical Element
- Expected value of 11777 with 5 points invested in Attack Boost.
· Parameter Selection: 3x Attack Boost vs 1x Critical Eye & 1x Elemental Attack
· The difference in damage expectation between the two cases is a negligible ~2%.
· Personally, I recommend the combination of 1x Critical Eye and 1x Elemental Attack. This maintains compatibility with the Zinogre Heavy Bowgun and increases stability by reducing the variability of the evasion reload build.

4. 💥 Special Shot Specialization Build and Parameters
· The special shot specialization build uses the same equipment configuration as the Zinogre Heavy.
· Head: Garuga
· Body: Kulu-Ya-Ku
· Arms: Garuga
· Waist: Nargacuga
· Legs: Rathian
· Recommended Skill Combination: 1x Evade Window, 4x Critical Element
· This configuration achieves 100% critical hit rate, ensuring stable damage output during special shots.
· It increases stability by reducing damage fluctuations due to critical hit procs when needing to defeat a monster with a single magazine.
· Personally, for the special shot specialization build, I recommend the combination of 1x Critical Eye and 1x Elemental Attack. This is to maximize stability in the special shot specialization build, even with a slight decrease in expected value compared to the evasion reload build.

5. ⚡ High Charge Thunder Build (Newly Added)
· This is a newly added High Charge Thunder build for the Kagachi Heavy Bowgun.
· Head: Kirin
· Body: Kulu-Ya-Ku
· Arms: Azure Rathalos
· Waist: Nargacuga
· Legs: Rajang
· Recommended Skill Combination: 3x Thunder Attack, 1x True Critical Element, 1x Weakness Exploit
· This configuration shows high expected values regardless of parameter settings, and even with just 3x Thunder Attack, it achieves expected values comparable to the existing special shot specialization build.
· Calculations were made assuming full health when High Charge is active; the expected value may be lower than the special shot specialization build when health is reduced.
· If you desire high single-shot damage, you can consider the High Charge build, but it comes with the hassle of skill configuration and difficulty in managing health.
· Personally, I recommend using two builds (evasion reload & special shot specialization) depending on the situation, and unifying the parameters to 1x Critical Eye and 1x Elemental Attack for efficiency.
