Ubisoft's open-world Star Wars, what does it actually look like?

Development itself has been rumored for a long time, but its appearance was first revealed in 2023: Massive Entertainment's new Star Wars game, Outlaws. As announced, the gameplay was first revealed through Ubisoft Forward.

Ubisoft revealed the gameplay of the new Star Wars title 'Star Wars Outlaws,' which was unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase, through Ubisoft Forward held on the 13th.

The gameplay video, which followed the cinematic trailer released the previous day, featured various action elements as the player directly controls the protagonist, Kay Vess. Vess successfully sneaks up on enemies and takes them down with a single attack, utilizing various surrounding environments to infiltrate undetected. However, her presence is soon discovered, leading to a full-blown shootout.

The basic armament only depicts one blaster, but it is possible to vary the use of armaments, such as firing it in bursts or concentrating it to inflict great damage. In addition, the space animal Nix can be used to confuse enemies or fetch weapons.

In particular, since the game itself is implemented as an open world, you can naturally move and arrive from escaping the enemy's base to visiting a bar and then escaping into space. In particular, when you board a spaceship, you are immediately connected to outer space through the atmosphere, and battles between traps are also depicted.

Expectations for Ubisoft's Star Wars were evident on-site. While other titles focused on introductions from developers, Star Wars Outlaws was introduced by CEO Yves Guillemot before the developers were introduced.

Meanwhile, this work will deal with the story of the era between the second and third works of the Star Wars original trilogy, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
