Tarkov Icebreaker Quest Complete Guide: Step-by-Step Unlock Method
1. 🧊 Starting the Boreas Quest: Your First Step to Unlocking Icebreaker
· To start the Icebreaker quest, you need Level 3 'Intelligence' in your 'Hideout'. You'll receive a message via radio or find specific posters scattered throughout the game.
· Posters can be found near the bank machine in the parking lot of the 'Ground Zero' area, but they aren't always in the same spot, so search carefully.
· Once you start the quest, you'll be instructed to contact the 'Mechanic' to track the source of a distress signal.
· The Mechanic will send you to the 'Woods' map, where you need to repair equipment at a 'Cellular Tower'. For this, you'll need a 'Tool Set', which is currently very expensive on the market, so plan accordingly.
· Take the Tool Set to the Woods map, find the large antenna located above the Scav convoy, near the Scav bunker, and repair the equipment. Report back to the Mechanic upon completion to proceed to the next stage.

2. 📜 Finding Documents at the Train Station Near the Lighthouse
· After reporting to the Mechanic, you'll receive a new transmission. This time, you need to find documents from 'Paradigm Shipping' at the train station near the lighthouse.
· This area is heavily guarded by 'Rogues', making it difficult to pass through. You need to search the hangar at the train station, which is near the water treatment facility.
· Go inside the hangar and search near the desks to find the documents. Once you acquire these documents, your quest objective will be complete.
03:41 - 05:42
3. 🚁 Repairing the Helicopter: Securing Power Filters and AMG-10 Oil
· After finding the documents in the hangar, you'll get information about a working vehicle. For this, you'll need 3 'Power Filters', which are quite costly.
· Once you have the Power Filters, the 'Mechanic' will instruct you to find 'AMG-10' aviation oil on the 'Reserve' map to repair a helicopter. This oil comes in canisters or special containers.
· You can find this oil on the large helicopter near the barracks on the Reserve map. After securing the oil, you can safely extract via the 'No Backpacks' extraction point.
05:43 - 09:25
4. 🚚 Negotiating with the BTR Driver: Smuggler Elimination Operation
· Although the helicopter is repaired, you need to find another means of transportation to reach the Icebreaker. For this, you need to talk to the 'BTR Driver'.
· The BTR Driver appears at a specific time (around the 27-minute mark) near the sawmill in the 'Woods' map. After talking to the driver, you'll be tasked with retrieving parts from the 'Smuggler' area.
· You need to eliminate 10 enemies in the Smuggler area, located near the vehicle extraction point on the 'Shoreline' map. Once this task is completed, return to the BTR Driver to report.
· The BTR Driver will then inform you that the 'Smuggler Hovercraft' is now available, which you can use to travel to the Icebreaker.
09:26 - 11:51
5. 🚢 Traveling to the Icebreaker: Preparing to Board the Hovercraft
· After reporting to the BTR Driver, the 'Smuggler Hovercraft' is now accessible. To travel to the Icebreaker, you'll need 2,500 Euros, 400,000 Roubles, and an 'RSP Flare'.
· The RSP Flare can be found at the docks on the 'Shoreline' map. You'll find the hovercraft near the docks, where you can pay the fee and board.
· If you haven't completed the 'Friend from the West' quest, there might be additional steps required, such as handing over 200 7.62x54mm rounds or finding 'Skier's Report' on the 'Customs' map.
11:52 - 12:47
6. 🚀 Exploring the Icebreaker: Challenges in the New Map
· Once all preparations are complete, you can board the hovercraft and travel to the Icebreaker. This new PvE area accommodates 1-3 players and features tough AI enemies, valuable loot, hidden lore, and a new boss, 'The Wedge'.
· The journey to the Icebreaker is more complex than expected, involving several stages. We hope this guide helps you successfully start your Icebreaker expedition.
· In the next video, we'll show you actually entering the Icebreaker map, fighting enemies, and playing through it.
