SGA eSports Co., Ltd., which operates the eSports platform 'Gaminminjok,' announced that it has been selected for the '2023 Google Changgu Program 5th' and has completed a business agreement.
The 'Changgu' program, which takes the first letters of 'Chang'eop (Startup) and 'Google' Play, is a developer growth support program in which Google, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development work together to support the content advancement and overseas market entry of domestic app and game developers. The 5th Changgu program was selected through a rigorous three-stage screening process based on content completeness, innovation, and global market potential, including document evaluation, app content demonstration evaluation, and presentation evaluation.
Gaminminjok is a platform where anyone can easily create game tournaments, and 160 tournaments have been held since its official opening in June 2021. As of 2023, more than 7,000 gamers have participated in the tournament, and 20,000 gamers visit Gaminminjok every month.
CEO Seong Si-chan said, "With the selection of this Changgu program, we will enable any gamer to receive game coaching anytime, anywhere through a mobile app, going beyond the eSports tournament platform and focusing on offline game coaching services, and at the same time, they will be able to immediately apply their skills in eSports tournaments held in real time within the platform." He added, "We will provide differentiated services that combine education and tournaments."
