The 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC), the premier event in PUBG Mobile esports, is set to begin its League Stage on October 31. The tournament will feature 48 of the world’s top teams competing for a $3 million prize pool.
Marking its first occurrence in the United Kingdom, the PMGC will culminate in the Grand Finals at the ExCeL Centre in London from December 6 to 8. Nine teams from the League Stage will advance directly to the Grand Finals, while the remaining teams will compete for six additional spots through the Survival and Last Chance stages.
During the League Stage, teams will engage in 25 matches over four weeks, divided into three groups—Yellow, Red, and Green. Group Yellow will kick off the competition, followed by Group Red, with Group Green concluding the stage. Exceptional performances may earn players accolades such as MVP and the top worldwide ranking.
Prominent teams participating include Alpha7 Esports, Vampire Esports, Team DRX, IHC Esports, Team D’Xavier, and Team Liquid, among others. The top three teams from each group will move directly to the Grand Finals, while the next eight teams from each group will advance to the Survival Stage starting November 20. The bottom five teams in each group will be eliminated from the competition.
The Survival Stage will provide 24 teams with a second chance to progress, with the top 16 advancing to the Last Chance stage for the final six Grand Finals slots. Guild Esports, as the host region invitee, will also join the Grand Finals.
James Yang, Senior Director of Global Esports at Level Infinite, stated, “This intense stage will pave the way for the Grand Finals, where fans and players will gather at the ExCeL in London for the first time in PUBG MOBILE history.”
