It might have been a long wait, but Wuthering Wave is finally about to get its official PS5 release on Jan. 2, 2025. The release perfectly aligns with the version 2.0 update, meaning there will be a lot of content for console players to explore once the game launches on PlayStation.

Wuthering Waves has been available on mobile and PC since its May 2024 release. Once the PS5 version becomes available, players will be able to carry over their progressions from the existing platforms. The PS5 version is set to continue the game’s free-to-play model. However, there’ll still be an additional bundle purchase option for $9.99, which includes various in-game rewards.

Pre-orders of the Awakening Bundle offer additional perks, including:

Wuthering Waves quickly became a hit in the open-world RPG and gacha genre after its initial release. Countless fans requested a console port for the game over the last six months, which is one of the key factors for games that are looking to expand their availability. Like most expansions, these processes take time since developers consider all possible details before making a final decision. Studios may choose to wait and see how their game performs on initial platforms before expanding. Considering there are development costs associated with such moves, a cautious approach minimizes risk for game developers.

When it comes to Wuthering Waves, the game had a successful launch, and it was also in great shape in terms of development and content.
