· We'll be looking at the new weapon 'Flint', added in the Terraria 1.4.5 update as a collaboration with Dead Cells.
· This weapon, first revealed in 2022, is classified as a Hardmode item.
· While other Dead Cells collaboration items didn't gain much attention, 'Flint' started gaining recognition for its performance about a month after its release.

· To craft the Flint, you'll need 24 units of the third-tier ore (Adamantite or Titanium) and 20 Hellstone after entering Hardmode.
· Since each unit of third-tier ore requires 4 ore pieces, a total of 96 units of third-tier ore are consumed.
· Hellstone can be mined with Dynamite in Hardmode, so if you have enough third-tier ore, you can craft it quickly even in early Hardmode.
· Unlike other collaboration items that require tricky conditions like Blood Moon, fishing, or specific events, the Flint has the advantage of being easy to craft as long as you gather the materials.

· The Flint works by charging when you hold the button, and then releasing a power wave that strikes the ground when you let go.
· This attack is reminiscent of Terry Bogard from 'Fatal Fury' or Reinhardt from Overwatch.
· The wave is not fired when in mid-air without a surface to hit.
· The lack of a distinct impact sound when attacking from platforms might be a point of contention for players who value tactile feedback.
· It seems to faithfully replicate the motion from the original Dead Cells.

· The biggest advantage of the Flint is how easily it allows you to defeat the boss 'The Destroyer'.
· When summoning The Destroyer, you don't need to build a separate arena; just use the Flint's wave attack, aiming for The Destroyer's segments.
· As long as you avoid hitting its head, you can overwhelm it with damage.
· Previous weapons for fighting The Destroyer had drawbacks like being hard to obtain (Daedalus Stormbow) or lacking versatility outside of boss fights, but the Flint compensates for these.
· Its ability to easily defeat The Destroyer without an arena makes it strategically important.

· Since the Flint relies on its wave attack, ground combat is essential, and its x-axis specialization means it doesn't hit flying bosses well.
· Its versatility is lower compared to weapons with long reach and bouncing effects, like the Shadowflame Knife.
· It's also a bit disappointing that its usefulness diminishes after defeating one mechanical boss.
· It's a shame it's a melee weapon; if it were a mana-consuming magic weapon, it could have also helped balance the early Hardmode Mage class.

· The Flint is a great weapon that can be easily used in early Hardmode.
· It shows particularly powerful performance when fighting The Destroyer.
· Although there are a few minor drawbacks, considering its crafting difficulty and performance, it's definitely a recommendable item.
