'Professor's Research' is a support card that allows you to draw 2 cards from your deck, and almost every deck has 2 of them.

A card that is often seen in this situation is 'Red Card'.

Red Card is a card that returns all of your opponent's hand to the deck, shuffles it, and draws 3 new cards.

What if you use Professor's Research to draw the card you want, but then get hit with a Red Card? There's probably nothing more frustrating than that.

Therefore, Red Card is considered a counter card to Professor's Research.

Conversely, you can use Professor's Research to restore a hand reduced by Red Card.

In addition, depending on the situation, Red Card can actually help your opponent, so it is best to use it at the right timing.

✅Correct timing to use Professor's Research

· When there is a low chance that your opponent has a Red Card

· When your hand has 2 cards or less

· When there is a card that you absolutely need to use this turn

· When you have 2 Professor's Research cards in your hand

· When you don't have the cards you need in your hand and you want your opponent to use Red Card

⛔Bad timing to use Professor's Research

· When you have a card you need for the next turn, such as Pokémon evolution, and it would be fatal to get hit with a Red Card

· When there is a high chance that your opponent has a Red Card and your hand has 4 or more cards

✅Correct timing to use Red Card

· When your opponent's hand has 5 or more cards

· When it's your first turn and your opponent's hand has 4 cards

· When your opponent used Professor's Research on the previous turn and has not used any additional cards since then

· When your opponent's hand has 4 or more cards and there is a card that your opponent must not use on the next turn

⛔Bad timing to use Red Card

· When your opponent has a Pikachu ex deck and the bench is empty

· When your opponent's key Pokémon cannot evolve = when they cannot get the necessary cards
